This song creates a very freedom march like atmosphere, with the heavy beat of feet and hand along with roomful of singing voices for the chorus. It puts out that people are always talking about labels, practices, names, and other things which cloud people's minds with biases and ill-will. What they need to do is stop speaking for a second and hear the only thing that Lennon and other people like him are putting out there: "give peace a chance." In other words, stop talking about all this junk that turns people against each other and start talking about what could bring us all together.
